Christmas 2012

An eventful one this year because something is seriously wrong with me

The way Christmas Day landed, office closures etc. we ended up being done work on the 20th so Miranda cleverly thought “hey this year we shall have our Christmas party on the Saturday, then dinner with Bass dad and then Christmas dinner with the Warner family and then Christmas Day with Gran and the other Bass’s and then Maui right, it’ll be perfect.

And it was...sort of....

Party was great fun, even though Miranda took it a bit too far (a lot too far)

Kevin was Kevin and stressed about everything every minute of the day

Miranda was Miranda and said hey don’t worry I’ll take care of that tomorrow and stop worrying it’s gonna be great

Logan was Logan and well tried not to clean his room, tried not to clean his bathroom, but occasionally helped out with a little vacuuming and got excited as only Logan can

Christmas Eve started off great, we cleaned (again) due to some sticky floors

Prepped last minute wrapping of a few last special gifts

and our wonderful family showed up for a day of family time

We did typical Warner family Christmas things, 

prepped our lunch (veggies, fruit, crackers, cheese, pickles)

and then Drayper got sick and then he got sick again - oh oh this spells trouble

On to gifts, we got spoiled again this year and how fortunate we are to be fortunate enough to spoil each other

And Drayper was not well, poor guy, but still a trooper

A little game of Ticket to Ride (might be best game ever) and then I was not well

By the end of the game I call it a day and head to bed and was sick all night and boo hoo Christmas Day

The boys headed out to Christmas morning and breakfast with Gran and the rest of the Bass’s and Great Grandpa and Grandma for a great Christmas morning (while I cried with fever feeling sorry for myself and tried to recover).  Again we were spoiled.

But I am reminded of how special our families are.  We are surrounded by some very caring and incredible people who love us and who we love dearly.  We have some many family members that unfortunately we don’t get to send Christmas with all of them, but we love them all just as much, near and far.
