At The Cabbage Batch

We are finally starting to enjoy our cabin, the lake and some nice weather

Every day here is a new experience differing from the last and not always good

(considering we've only enjoyed two full weekends here together so far I guess that is to be expected)

Timeline of events:

take possession of Cabin

cabin springs a leak and basement gets very wet

we spend weeks drying the floor, cleaning carpet, drying insulation, walls, removing carpet and wood

Uncle Cory gets Logan a wonderful gift, motorized scooter, that he cannot get enough of (neighbours keep asking how they get one)

Cory reading the paper while he makes a toasty fire

little kids were so excited they kept asking when they get to go to the cabbage, now we own a cabbage "The Cabbage Batch"

enjoy a weekend filled with mass chaos (8 adults, 1 tween, 5 little kids, 4 dogs and then mix in some random neighbour kids that would mysteriously appear) and wonderful weather (mostly)

everybody gets a turn on Uncle Kevin's lap

No not you, Uncle Kevin's lap needs a break

need to put Lucas to sleep, take him on a windy boat ride

oh no you don't buster, go back to the woods this is not a good place to make your home

see I told you chaos

this is just some of the fixing we had this weekend - leaky BBQ lines, leaky Pipes...what's next, well just wait for it...

skeeter repellent

pudding pops, might be greatest pintrest discovery yet

yep the wet suit fits

last piece of the timeline and last thing to go wrong

Miranda, Lisa, mom and Oma arrive to a broken in Cabbage late last Saturday

broken door, stolen alcohol and pillow cases

consolation prize is one HOTT police man to take photos and reports

thank goodness for such a wonderful summer community and very nice neighbours to put a temporary fix in place so we could at least close the door for the night

still a fun nice of games and wine and a nice stroll in the morning

Next weekend fix the doors and put in proper reinforced deadbolts.
