san andreas fault

I have been MIA as a result of this, beautiful Palm Springs.

A work conference involving a bit of work, a lot of wonderful food and this, a rough, hot, dirty, but informative Jeep tour ride of the San Andreas fault.

Now let me explain this tour...we get in the back of an open jeep and fly down highway.

The wind is whipping our hair around, we are loosing sun glasses and bouncing around all over the back of this jeep.  No big deal we are about to see an incredible thing.

Then we pull off road onto the dessert which is where the hot dirty part begins.

Tour Guide: Can anyone tell me what this dessert is called?

Us: Palm Dessert?

Tour Guide: No, but good try the Colorado dessert.

What the heck?  Cuz that makes sense?

And this is how it went the whole 4.5 hours.

AND then we bounce around some more and learned some very interesting things.  We even got to see a rattle snack.  What was the temperature you ask?  

WELL, 105 degrees farenheit.
