First Boat Ride

She really didn't mind too much, but come on dad

Evening is our favourite time to be in Glen's Cove

The lake is still, the noise from the boaters has died down and the sun gives the most beautiful light and warmth

Finally we've had success getting our lift moved and in place with some much needed help and man power from our neighbours

We started early and first moved our lift via tow with the truck as close to the water as possible

Next we attached the floating dock pieces to the boat and brought them over to where our lift was

then with lots of man power put the lift onto the floating dock

then attached the lift to the boat and very slowly and carefully towed it to our dock

then dropped it in place

With the boat now officially in place for the summer and with a few adjustments we can easily go out when we like

so Miss Casey, who might just be the most spoiled little girl in the world, got to enjoy her first boat ride 

and enjoy she did, as did the rest of us

we enjoyed the shining sun and exploring the lake

Titan enjoyed snoozing in the sun 

and Casey had a very restful nap
