Seattle

The middle leg of our trip and about 6.5-8 hours from Sandpoint, depending on how many stops you make.  It was a good drive and all members of our family handled the drive like pros.

This bathroom sign had us giggling at Pike Place.

The Pike Place Market was a sight.  The fisherman, as Logan put it, are Comedian's and it's less about the fish and more about their performance for the crowds.

And one simply cannot leave Pike Place without snatching a photo of the gumball wall.  I'm not sure what started this weird and disgusting wall of chewed up bubble gum, but it's a colourful place.

The aquarium was great fun.  Logan and Casey got a cute little water creature painted on their face and we loved watching the colourful fish, sea otters, seals and octopus.

 For our last full day in Seattle we headed to the Space Needle and Center Park with the Global Fountain.  The Global Fountain is the most clever and exciting water/splash park we've been to yet.

The fountain spouts a tonne of water and is in a huge concrete bowl where you can watch the kids from all angles at all times up high at the edge of the bowl.  Kids can play without arguments, getting equal amounts of drenching of water, and the anticipation of the huge water explosion where the water shoots really high into the air before crashing down in a huge mist has the kids super excited.

Off to our last venture out in into Pike Place to seek out the Pike Place brewery and maybe we'll do some shopping before heading to Anacortes for the ferry tomorrow to Sidney.
