Starting of August in Full Force

Our July has run into our August and quickly

Kevin and I planned our summer so we'd work as little as possible and cabin it as much as possible

It feels like we've managed that, barely working a full week since School's been out

August was kicked off with a long weekend and the Sunbreaker Cove Regatta (we did feel the absence of the Tatro family, who we've spent that last 3 Aug long's with)

The Regatta involves rely races, potato sack races, three legged races, swimming races a hot dog BBQ and a finale of spectacular fireworks in the Cove.  

And all I have to show for the whole long weekend is the beautiful colouring on our pin board left by some little bitty rugrats.

Then on a mission for our remaining few days

Move the Shed, not a small feat

The shed is approximately 10X10 in size and we planned to move it from the back of the house to the side of the garage

Step 1: Clear about 12X12 of the bush and level the land, this took until mad afternoon, which is about the max. amount of time allowed spent working while on vacation at the lake.

Fast forward 2 days

Step Two: Built base for the shed to sit on and then what the heck round up the neighbours and move it across the yard

This project boarded on unacceptable amount of work for one day, it took from 10-4 to complete, edging on ruining happy hour,.  It involved logs for rolling the shed, a lawn tractor, chains and tow ropes, a very large jack, one nail into Kevin's foot and three men's muscles.  Why didn't we video this production for YouTube?

Mr. Titan found his new favourite spot, laying between the garage and the shed in the cool shade and sand and Kevin still has his own personal path to the neighbours, Glen and Gwen.  Oh goodie!  (If at the lake and you cannot locate Kevin, he'll be at Glen's).  (And while this should seem annoying, they might be the very best neighbours a person could ask for)
