Some Beach Somewhere

First trip to the Playa
We were actually trying to get into the park itself to see the various wildlife and visit the famous Manuel Antonio Beach.
I even did my research to make sure I knew the park hours 7-3,
however should've clued in when we saw most of the flea market on the way was closed and the lack of tourists
we got up the gates and found the park is closed on Mondays for reasons I've not sorted out yet
so plan B, stop at the beach for a swim to cool off because at 37 degrees and lack of air movement the 10 min walk felt like 2 hours and the water looked so inviting
although we discovered quickly the water is so warm you can only cool off so much

Can you see the sloth?

In true Logan fashion, he grabbed the boogie board and hit the waves as fast as possible and spent his time riding the waves
He got away with only burning his forearms this time
It seems no matter how much sunscreen he is wearing and how often it's re-applied he cannot escape some sort of burn

Miss C did her best to cool herself in the Ocean breeze
she was very schweaty (scheweaty is like being sweaty, but more like that dripping, sticky skin, your clothes are drenched, you think you might drowned in it kind of sweat) so I dipped her hat and dripped cool water over her which seemed to make her quite happy

"Yeah I like the beach"

Just dancing in the waves a bit
This is only a bit before the life guards came down to inform us the rip tides were coming in and to be very careful
(a surfer had to be rescued just down the beach earlier)

With the Tide roaring in, the waves picking up speed and height, the rip tide danger, the appearance of the lightning in the distance, the heat and hunger taking over we headed off to seek a late lunch, pick up a few items for our dinner and then back for a relaxing afternoon and perhaps a Siesta

Miss C thought her dad was hilarious and took a break from sucking my arm to give him her award winning grin
